Veteran swing guitarist Lawrence Lucie's first effort for his own label is strictly easy listening middle-of-the-road pop. Lucie sticks very close to the melodies of such songs as "More," "Moon River," "Tenderly," and "Spanish Harlem," playing melodic but very unadventurous versions with the assistance of bassist Susan King and drummer Earl Williams. Lucie apparently viewed this project partly as a teaching experience: in a pamphlet that comes enclosed in the album are the guitar arrangements for each song. Pity that the results are so difficult to listen to.
