The obscure free jazz pianist Burton Greene performs four adventurous but often rambling originals in a trio with bassist Steve Tintweiss and percussionist Shelly Rusten. Reissued on CD, this music has dated quite a bit, and despite the high energy, the results are a bit tedious and incoherent in spots. While little has been heard from his sidemen since 1970, Greene remains active as an educator in Europe. However, this early effort is only of interest in small doses.
