Coffee Shop: The Chillin' Sessions, Vol. 6

A downtempo collection that focuses on the music played in Amsterdam's "herb-friendly" coffee shops, Coffee Shop, Vol. 6 has a great selection of trippy electronica with a good flow overall. The dubby dance of Dufferclub's "Electraglide" is the highlight, with Da Rookery's dark and deep "Blak Domina" coming in a close second. Fauna Flash's "Velvet Strings" is another excellent number, but the otherwise smooth atmosphere of the collection is upset by the track's driving drum'n'bass. Program "Velvet Strings" at the beginning, end, or out altogether and Coffee Shop, Vol. 6 works nicely.
