AllMusic Review by

This 28-song collection is the best serious survey on the work of Cliff Bennett to show up from EMI, covering all of the essential hits, encompassing three unreleased tracks, and a brace of odd B-sides and worthwhile album tracks, featuring Cliff Bennett with the Rebel Rousers and his subsequent group up through 1969. Anyone looking to take the fast track to discovering Bennett's considerable talents as a singer can start here, rather than with the various reissues of his albums from EM| and BGO -- this is the best of it, all distilled down and augmented with those rarities into a very potent and powerful mix of R&B-flavored British Invasion material. But they shouldn't end here, because there is worthwhile material not included on this CD. The annotation by Bennett himself and producer David Paramor is also highly informative and entertaining, and the sound quality is state of the art.
