This is the fourth truly great single in a row from London's Banshees, who are definitely on another roll. Starkly evil and danceable, it seems like they just get cooler, and icier, as they go along. Never mind Bauhaus; these folks are what dark, rich, almost gothic music is all about, because they put it in an art rock context as boisterous as it is darkly foreboding, in the way that the most uptempo outings of the two Iggy Pop and two David Bowie albums that came out of Berlin in 1977 were. If the Banshees want to keep the singles coming as fantastic as they've been, they should be bought unheard.
