AllMusic Review by

Although the Europa series of jazz LPs generally look like budget or bootleg releases, many of them contain very valuable (and sometimes unique) music. On this set pianist Bud Powell is heard on two lengthy numbers in 1957 jamming with a quintet that includes trumpeter Clark Terry and tenor-saxophonist Barney Wilen, Chet Baker plays "Milestones," baritonist Gerry Mulligan's Quartet with trumpeter Art Farmer romps on "Festive Minor" and Zoot Sims performs a warm version of "It Had to Be You." It's satisfying and occasionally exciting music.
