Celestial Geometries is a very quiet -- at times inaudible -- set of electronic minimalism from Oöphoi (aka Gianluigi Gasparetti) and Tau Ceti (aka Enrico Cosini). This has a vast and expansive atmosphere and is serious sci-fi space music. Gasparetti and Cosini have constructed eerie effects from deep drones and gentle synth washes. The effects dominate the soundscape and dictate the moods. This CD borders on too quiet. There are, however, many good qualities to counterbalance that fault. The CD will appeal to fans of Darshan Ambient, Paul Sauvanet, Zero Ohms, and Stephen Philips. It is essential only for die-hard fans of electronic minimalism.
