More madcap, funk-fueled breakbeat weirdness from Cheap's Patrick Pulsinger and Erdam Tunakan. Like previous Sluts material, Carrera steers clear of the freakbeat electro territory explored by the pair's Showroom Recordings Series and remixes for Lamb and A Forest Mighty Black, settling instead into spacy electronic trip-hop with heaps of funk and jazz references. Although Carrera would have made a solid 12-inch, the presence of a few weak tracks and a pair of ponderous disco numbers reduce the album's overall effectiveness.
