Fairly average college rock that occasionally borders on eclectic. Though songs like the Spin Doctor-ish "Car Crash," the obnoxiously juvenile "Mitch," and the bland "I Relate" are definitely downers, some songs show budding compositional talent. "All Men," the opening track, is a punk-influenced rocker that breaks away from the hellish jangly chord abyss Carmine often seems on the brink of falling into. "Mrs. Jones" is a quirky little number pairing a kalimba melody with a surf-rock groove, while the loopy "Irrelevant Elephant" features the album's most intriguing song structure. Not a bad debut by any means, but one that could've easily been whittled down to a really good four- or five-song EP.
