Despite the fact that the title to the 2006 Leo Dan compilation, Canciones de Amor is a bit unnecessary, being that a great majority of the Argentine singer's songs are romantic in nature, the album's still a pretty good overview of Dan's repertoire. "Esa Pared," "Mary Es Mi Amor," "Siempre Estoy Pensando en Ella," and "Celia" are all included (though other single-name love songs, "Maria Isabel" and "Marisa," for example, are left out), as well as many more. However, all 14 tracks on Canciones de Amor are also found on 1993's Antologia Musical, or its major-label "reissue," 1998's Best: Latin Stars Series, both of which also include an additional six pieces (none of which could be considered "unromantic), making them, all else being equal, better choices overall.
