AllMusic Review by

How refreshing it is to say it's impossible to pin down this electro group, even after listening to this CD a half-dozen times. The opening "Hornicopia" sounds like avant-garde new wave jazz, but much of the rest, starting with "Gimme Some More," sounds like Devo sampling Kraftwerk or, like "The Commuter," Kraftwerk sampling Penguin Cafe Orchestra. To a degree, BS.3 is just a bunch of gleeful noodling with old keyboard/synth technology ("Casio, Kramer, Moog, Roland, Synsonics, Yamaha"), but there's also that repetitive purification that comes with old-style Krautrock looping without end, taking it out of the realm of mere ice-skating rink music into something that begins to tease and tickle the brain into creative leaps of fantasy. Imagine the robot world of the future as inspired by the pattern-driven sounds of the "sheen" of the past. Imagine Hal from 2001 as a one-man prog band. Imagine taking orders from this CD. Yes! I hear and obey!
