Mexican Horacio Diaz arranged for Xavier Cugat, as well as Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, and Charlie Barnet, among others. His piano and orchestra on Brazilian Choo-Choo are fine, but the record is unremarkable except for two tracks. One is "The Gal in Malibu" ("El Bajo De Chapotin") and the other is "The Whistling Baion" with, yes, whistling. Consumers of Latin and Brazilian records do not need it, but whistling-album completists may want to pick it up.
