Despite their name, Five Deez are made up of two men: MC/producer Fat Jon and MC/DJ Pase Rock. "Blue Light Special" has a nice, mellow feel most of the time. Unfortunately, the song is periodically interrupted by a sound that resembles a cross between a drum sample and squealing tires; this disrupts the mellow vibe and hurts the song. Mr. Dibbs of 1200 Hobos helps out on the beat to "Wow." It's solid, but nothing special lyrically or production-wise. "The Rock Rule" has a basic drum pattern with a few nice guitar sounds, but not much else. "The Rock Rehab" features no real beat, just some nice beatboxing. Five Deez do a good job flowing over the beatbox beat, and have a lot of energy on this track. Too bad they didn't bring that same energy to the rest of this 12."
