AllMusic Review by

Throughout his fourth solo album, German rapper Laas Unlimited discusses hip-hop music and its community -- criticizing younger rappers on "Up Next," paying his respects to influential hip-hop artists on "Respect," discussing the feuds between several musicians on "Star Wars," and telling his own story while thanking other rappers who supported him on "Back to the Future." Elsewhere, he lashes out against "haters" in Internet forums ("Offline") and offers a love letter to the city of Hamburg ("Letter to the City"). Produced by 7inch (the Game, Kool Savas), the album features guest appearances by Fler ("Star Wars") and Moe Mitchell ("Beautiful"). Blackbook debuted at number 37 on the German album charts.
