It's not quite right to call this Small Faces' collection Big Hits since only a couple of tracks here were actually hits of any sort (the most notable being the trippy and phase-happy "Itchycoo Park"). The group's initial hits were all on the Decca/Arden label, and none of those, like "What 'Cha Gonna Do About It" or "All or Nothing," are included here. What is here is material recorded for Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate Records imprint, which is where the group landed in 1967 when things soured with Arden. It's druggy, baroque pop that remains interesting, if hardly essential, forty years later.
