Cross Aerosmith with punk rock and the result might be the B Movie Rats' Bad for You. Like AC/DC on fast forward, Los Angeles' B Movie Rats lay Derek Christensen's Steven Tyler vocals over Curtiss Florczak's wailing guitars to create some boozy, up-tempo, two-beat rock jams. Their themes? What else but sex, drugs, and rock & roll. The chorus of "Strut" says it all: "long hair, long legs, short dress!" And on "1000 Miles," Christensen sings about another "sweet little rock and roller." But despite the band's classic rock & roll obsessions and riot-inspiring energy, the drag strip-paced album is almost too uniform and is lost a little in the repetition.
