Sev's Back Rider is an album that holds very little quality or intrigue, relying solely on tiresome rapcore to strike at potential fans. The new songs are generic and rather boring, while the remixes present fail to make the older tracks more listenable than before. "24-7" is the only worthwhile song on the disc, as its memorable chorus and upbeat tones make for a fun listen. The hidden tracks are hit and miss as well, as "Player" is a digestible hip-hop-tinged rock song. The same cannot be said for the abysmal cover of Insane Clown Posse's "Chicken Huntin'," which Sev manages to make just as gratingly obnoxious and inane as the original, if not even more so. Back Rider is an album that has very little to entertain with, and goes to prove the downward spiral rap-rock took in the late '90s.
