AllMusic Review by

Just as with Volume One, Volume Two of Walden's Apex Live series was released on his own independent label, Demi Sound Records. It also features bassist Dwayne Burno and drummer Eric McPherson, both from Walden's musical generation and both alums of his 1999 debut album Hypnosis. More than ten years later, not much has changed. The brand of jazz is very much the same -- smart, aggressive, and more solid than hip. It's the product of three tacticians -- all skilled musicians of a very high order -- getting back together to do what they do best.
