The 1999 remixes of "Anomaly (Calling Your Name)" don't do much to restructure this classic trance song from the mid-'90s, but rather just update it. Ferry Corsten's mix, in particular, takes the explosive synth gusts of his Albion project ("Air") and uses them to high power the song. Similarly, Quivver also focuses on the explosive moment following the soothing vocal lull at the center of this track. Without being blasphemous to the original, these remixes function as nice improvements, instilling further amounts of texture and nuance that have since become staples of better trance productions.
