Of the three songs, one is previously unreleased: J.B. Hutto's "Angel Face." The other two are alternate takes of Fred McDowell's "Write Me a Few Lines" and John Lee Hooker's "My Baby's Got Something." In the McDowell selection, Sardinas gets ballsier and bluesier with his raw and gruff vocals, but the album version contains greater guitar content. The vocals and guitar are several octaves lower on the alternative take of the Hooker piece, but lacks the high-end and balance the album cut carries.
