AllMusic Review by

This two-LP set features a lengthy broadcast that is supposed to be paying tribute to the late Glenn Miller. Unfortunately many of the guests (which include comedians, show-biz types and musicians) had little or nothing to do with Miller and no one ever bothers to explain (or even seem to know) what was so significant about the bandleader. There are some good moments, particularly from Count Basie, Louis Prima, Cab Calloway and an emotional Tex Beneke, but so many of the appearances are obviously self-serving and the comedy routines (especially from an obnoxious Milton Berle who does not even mention his work with Glenn Miller in the movie Sun Valley Serenade) are poorly dated, that this two-fer is only interesting from a historical standpoint.
