AllMusic Review by

Nothing much happens on this first American EP released by Perth, Australia's Tucker B's. But with simple languid rock this perfect, it would be a disaster if something did occur to ruin the sublime mix of gentle roots rock guitars (think Lullaby for the Working Class or Smog), slight Beach Boys vocals and dusty drums with dustier pop craftsmanship. Only the slightest of technique makes this sound anything more elaborate than the best garage band you've heard in ages. Some static-y voice samples and feedback grind on "Our Polluted Run Off" give the otherwise amicable strum some grime. But it's still the sort that you don't mind getting beneath your finger nails. The preceding four cuts are all the type of bedroom troubadour songcraft that everyone thinks is a million times easier to pull off than it actually is. It will be interesting to see if Tucker B's can continue this level of quality come time for the full-length.
