With this three song EP clocking in at an average of more than 7 minutes a song, Antarctica has completely outdone themselves. I have not been this impressed and downright in awe of a band's sound in quite a while. Throbbing, dreamlike soundscapes of beautiful tones and heartshattering pulses of rhythm. A perfect album to drive into the night with, or with which to wake up from a nightmare of drowning in dark oceans. With beautiful muffled vocals covering atmoshperic synthesizer melodies, shimmering guitar lines and an overall dark feeling, this EP is a must have for those who enjoy slow, intense and brooding music with a slight My Bloody Valentine influence. The presence of ex-members of the legendary Christie Front Drive is only slightly evident in the music. Wrapped up in excellent production and fitting artwork.
