AllMusic Review by

125 Songs for Kids collects this whopping number of children's songs on three discs, and also pays some attention to quality as well as quantity. Though the first disc is oddly lullaby-heavy and includes sluggish versions of "Hickory Dickory Dock" and "It's Raining, It's Pouring," it does feature "Mary Had a Little Lamb," "Baa Baa Black Sheep," "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and other essential kids' songs. Disc two is probably the best of the set, featuring such classics as "Bingo," "I'm a Little Teapot," and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" as well as a singer who sounds a lot like Burl Ives. Disc three is made up mostly of original, contemporary children's songs, the best of which is "I Love Mud." 125 Songs for Kids isn't quite as generic as some other bulk sets of children's music, but it doesn't have as much personality as some smaller, more individual-sounding collections.
