AllMusic Review by

Shakila has recorded nearly 20 albums since making her recording debut in 1991. 11:11 is only her second delivered almost exclusively in English. Musically, this is a balancing act of modern adult contemporary pop, new age, global electronic dance music, and anthemic theatrical balladry. "City of Love" uses orchestral strings and piano to build a sweeping foundation as she sings a poem by Persian mystic poet Rumi. "My Heart" contains another of his lyrics, but the arrangement melds electronic pop, jazz saxophone, and an Eastern lilt. "When I Close My Eyes" is a big-production pop number with an irresistible emotional hook.
