So this is the album that sold over 100,000 copies in Japan without any help of radio airplay or major label distribution. Well, "Put on Fresh Paint" is pretty catchy in that playful, non-English speaking pop-punk sort of way, but it isn't totally mind blowing or anything. There are some elements of Snuff and J-Church present in Husking Bee's sound, but without the energy or humor, "Put on Fresh Paint" can sometimes fall to some bland ears. There is a cover of the Beach Boys classic "Wouldn't it Be Nice" done in the Husking Bee way, which is kind of cool.
