Ying Yang Twins' sophomore feat finds the Atlanta duo playing it by the books, offering very little to inspire or impress. D-Roc and Kaine may word themselves in a way that could catch your attention, yet their rhymes very rarely amount to anything more then sex, drugs, and women. "Say I Yi Yi" follows in the footsteps of Thug Walkin's hit single, "Whistle While You Twurk," rehashing vapid rhyme schemes and routine beats. Alley...Return of the Ying Yang Twins features several guest appearances, yet these special guests add nothing to the overall generic flavor Ying Yang Twins churn out. Alley...Return of the Ying Yang Twins has about as much appeal as one could expect from the over-processed majority of the Southern hip-hop scene, and its mediocre format and inept lyrical value prove that Ying Yang Twins have not grown at all since their 2000 debut.
