Yet another incredible rock & roll anthem from the pen of Chuck Berry, "Little Queenie" is one of the greatest dance/sex ritualistic classics. In some ways, Berry is revisiting some of his earlier imagery (record machines, etc.), yet his own exquisite sense of lyric poetry is undeniable. Utilizing once again what can only be called the "Chuck Berry guitar lick," which possibly had its roots in Berry's pianist Johnny Johnson's playing, it's undoubtedly a treasure. Once again, the song was covered in great fashion by the Rolling Stones, but Uncle Chuck's original is still definitive.
