In 1991, there were many music changes such as crossover to House and New Jack Swing which was the case on this fantastic album. With the album opening with Something About Love produced by Robert Clivilles and David Cole who crafted the sound on the first half of the cd which was the club ready classic Let The Beat Hit Em and standout vocal on the poignant and melancholy ballad Don't Say Goodbye which was very emotional and heartfelt ballad not letting go of your former love and Forever which closes out the first half showcased a vulnerable and softer side of Lisa brings mind to Kiss Your Tears Away. Opening the second half with her longtime producers Full Force going introspective of how Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam began and goes into the Hip House track let It Go which fun and aggressive vocal delivery and its sequel I Like It I Like It . One of the songs should've been ready as a single is the anti-Prejudice Love Will Get Us By and closing out the album is the cover of The Isley Brothers Sensuality which is a stand t of the album. Despite what critics said about this album, it is a true classic and masterpiece.
On this 1987 classic solo debut, Jody re-established her music career as a solo artist, which she started out in the group Shalamar. After leaving the group, Jody released her solo debut single Looking For A New Love, which immediately became a smash hit and was named one of the biggest pop and R&B singles in 1987. After the success of her solo debut single, Jody released her second single Still A Thrill, which wasn't successful as Looking For A New Love, although it charted fairly on the R&B charts. Her next two singles, the dance hits Don't You Want Me and Some Kind of Lover chart successfully on the Pop and Dance Charts in its remixed form in 1987/1988. As for the final single Most Of All, didn't chart well on the pop charts but did fare better on the R&B charts. Despite this, all five singles were smash hits and stand out tracks are the sensual Love Injection and the duet with George Michael Learn To Say No.
