It takes about half the album before the adrenaline subsides and the music takes on a more interesting face, and once it does, this transforms into something more than generic. Its still hampered by simple lyrics here and there, but the change of pace salvages what initially looked like a stale offering and ends up edging towards being classed as 'good' in my book.
Top Tracks: Be Legendary, Nothing But Thieves, When We Were Young
Filled with frantic energy, intensity and an unhealthy dose of melancholy, this album is an emo-punk showcase. The angst-ridden lyrics infused with rousing guitar are driven towards teenage disenfranchisement, but in that is also the flaw as it becomes a bit cheesy and tired at times. Overall, this is a good emo album, but there os significant room for improvement.
