Iceland's Sólstafir has been honing their brand of psychedelic, folk-inflected metal for nearly two decades, and their new video for "Lágnætti," the opening track from their latest album, Ótta, serves as a grand declaration of intent. From the first two and a half minutes of gentle piano and vocals, paired with sweeping shots of the Icelandic landscape, followed by a burst of momentum that builds to the song's climax and denouement, the gripping music and visuals create an enveloping piece of work. The video closes with the finest shot of a piano engulfed in flames that you'll see all day.
