As the weather warms up and the sun begins to come out, you may be finishing your spring cleaning and enjoying the move towards summer. Having the right music to accompany the seasonal transition is key, so check out this list of springtime tunes if you need some upbeat melodies to brighten up your days before summer fully arrives.

"Fairy Song" - beabadoobee

The Filipino-English artist, real name Beatrice Laus, delivers a downtempo indie-pop number with a little edge. Her soft, ethereal voice lists off reminders to improve her life, and asserts that she won't "sit inside and do nothing." The bridge becomes muddled and chaotic, but the song returns to a gentle feeling by the end. "Fairy Song" carries a balanced but optimistic sentiment that fits springtime just right, while also acknowledging how times of transition can be difficult.

"Mint Car" - The Cure

While The Cure has a reputation for angsty goth rock, they are equally capable of poppier, upbeat numbers, as demonstrated by the unabashed joy of "Mint Car". The song kicks off with Robert Smith's delighted yelp, and describes a beautiful day spent with a lover. Brilliant guitars and playful lyrics embody the hope and happiness that spring can bring. This track is perfect for a drive on a sunny day, a reminder to find joy in the simple things.

"Cinderella" - Remi Wolf

Wolf's low, buttery tones and her funky, trumpet-laden take on pop serve as a refreshing dive into the season. With lyrics about low tides and hotel lobbies, "Cinderella" feels like the very end of spring melting into a summer vacation. Layers of harmonies and unique sounds ranging from triangle to high-pitched whistles to the "ding" of a reception bell tell a cohesive story in a way that will surely get your feet moving on a warm spring night.

"Millones" - Camilo

Nearly every song on Camilo's album Mis Manos exudes a sense of authentic optimism and gratitude, and "Millones" is no exception. With infectious percussion and his sweet tenor voice, the Colombian artist expresses a self-deprecating sense of disbelief and delight that his partner chose him out of everyone on earth, even those who are "más guapos" or "con más plata" (handsomer or richer). Camilo's charmingly humble and genuine Latin pop provides an appealing sound and mindset for springtime.

"Behind the Sea" - Panic! at the Disco

This dreamy tune by pop-punk icons Panic! At the Disco surely carries the bright, tranquil energy of spring. The hazy tones of vocalists Ryan Ross and Brendon Urie convey surreal imagery reminiscent of the Beatles in their psychedelic rock era. Whimsical lines about "floating flocks of candled swans" and "watermelon smiles" creates a peaceful headspace, and "Behind the Sea" ends with a rousing group vocal section to bring a boost of energy.

"April, Come She Will" - Simon & Garfunkel

Though April has already come and gone, this song still rings true with a simple message about the passage of time. Under two minutes long and consisting only of Simon and Garfunkel's respective acoustic guitar and soft, otherworldly voice, "April, Come She Will" embodies the speed with which seasons and relationships both change. The song is at once honest and soothing, and feels like the auditory equivalent of spring.

"come on come on" - almost monday

The indie-pop group hails from San Diego, and their California background is evident in their laidback, breezy music. In "come on come on" the theme is escaping responsibilities and having fun, without letting mundane worries stress you out. Bouncy bass and a jaunty beat bring zest to the tune, as almost monday invites you to forget your cares, step out of the house, and "waste away the daylight."

"green house" - Amindi

In this short but sweet number, the chill hip-hop beats of Jamaican-American artist Amindi combine with indie rhythms to craft a relaxing atmosphere. Her velvety voice expresses hope and joy for the future of a relationship ship, with echoing background vocals and repetitive piano. The warm energy of "green house" evokes the place it's named for, peaceful and beautiful.

It's easy to look ahead to summer and its many wonderful qualities, but spring carries its own special meaning. Stay in the moment and enjoy the day-by-day changes of the world with these serene, blissful tunes.
