"Someone to Lose" is the upcoming single from Suffer the Children, a trio that blends sparse downtempo electronic music with R&B elements to get a haunting but human sound. The trio is a collaboration between Grammy-winning producer Chin Injeti and musician Shallom Johnson, who both hail from Canada, and Rian Peters, a U.K.-based artist. In a written statement, the group says that the appropriately-downcast track was written to explore the theme of impermanence, "a meditation on the entropy that accompanies us at every turn. We spend our whole lives following this urge to build and build, and at the end there's only the one small door. And nothing else can come with us." "Someone to Lose" is due out October 19.
