The sisters of Portland's Shook Twins, known for their acoustic sound, branch out and add electronic elements to their indie-folk palette on a new track, "Call Me Out." "Electro" doesn't mean that the band has suddenly gone the way of four-on-the-floor dance pop, it's a much more subtle change that wafts through the gentle, spacious track. The single is due out Friday, August 19.

"We've been incorporating electronic sounds live for a while, but this is the first time fully committing to an electro indie-folk production on a track," Katelyn Shook wrote. "It's nerve racking throwing something new at your fans, but I think it's a good blend of the new and old us."

"Sometimes you have to try something different with your art," Laurie Shook added. "We aimed to express the elements of our favorite sounds that are happening around us, and make a new sound, blending folk with a deep pop groove."
