When Marc Broussard put out Carencro in 2004, "Gavin's Song" wasn't even on the tracklist. The acoustic song, named for his son, was appended as an unlisted, hidden bonus track, but over the years, the song gained momentum with his fanbase and has become, according to Broussard, "by far the most requested." The groundswell of support led Broussard to rework the track as the closing number on his upcoming album, Easy to Love, with a new piano-based arrangement and an updated vocal performance that reveals the mileage and experience that he's picked up in the subsequent 13 years.

Easy to Love is due out September 15, followed by extensive touring.
