Song Premiere: Everclear, "The Man Who Broke His Own Heart" (Acoustic)

When Everclear released Black is the New Black in 2015, editor Stephen Thomas Erlewine praised the way the band had stuck to its guns, noting that the album was "defiantly old-fashioned without being stodgy, probably because the tunes click and there's muscle behind the riffs, giving [the album] both a foundation and a kick."

Everclear continues to tour steadily, playing their 90s hits alongside newer cuts, like "The Man Who Broke His Own Heart," presented here in an acoustic version, which will be included on a re-release of Black is the New Black, due out tomorrow on The End Records. The re-release comes out in time for the band's upcoming summer tour alongside Sugar Ray, Lit and Sponge.
