A pair of prominent cover tunes feature heavily in this week's roundup of the best musical performances on television from the week, plus a country trio plugs their new album, Josh Homme digs out an underappreciated QOTSA track, and Ryan Adams makes things simple.

The Foo Fighters released a video of a special performance of "Three Headed Dog" by Roky Erickson to promote the upcoming 40th anniversary special for Austin City Limits.



Lady Antebellum celebrated the release of their new album, 747, by playing "Bartender" on The Tonight Show.



Aretha Franklin's take on Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" made an impact online this week, and she kept the momentum going with a performance on The Late Show.



Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age went solo on "Long Slow Goodbye" from his band's 2005 album Lullabies to Paralyze on MTV UK's Soundchain.



Ryan Adams delivered a minimalist take on "My Wrecking Ball" from his latest album on Conan.



Ted Leo and Aimee Mann combine to form The Both, and they performed the song "Volunteers of America" from their debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
