The sun has finally started to creep out at AllMusic HQ, and we're welcoming the month of April this week with another batch of new releases from the worlds of bluegrass, indie rock, acid jazz, and an all-star tribute to heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio.

Bluegrass trio Nickel Creek returned from a lengthy hiatus for their new album, A Dotted Line, while Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Leon Russell takes on the music of several classic songwriting duos on his latest, Life Journey. Atlanta alt-rock band Manchester Orchestra also released their new album, Cope, while the heavy metal world paid homage to fallen hero Ronnie James Dio with a tribute record featuring covers of Dio's material from Metallica, the Scorpions, Anthrax and Tenacious D, among others.
