My Favorite Albums of 2010: The Top 21-50

Year In Review

By Tim Sendra

Dec. 10, 2010

We're going to start bombarding you with lists next week, breaking down our favorite albums of the year by genre and style. Mostly here in the blog but also in AllMusic Loves 2010, where we'll have the editors' picks. I'm throwing my top 20 albums and top 10 reissues in there too, but it was such a good year for records I thought I'd share a bunch that just missed the cut. Strangely, it didn't seem like such a good year until I started trying to narrow things down and realized there was the usual flood of interesting stuff; weirdly compelling mixtapes, sweetly sung girl pop, blown out rap genius, bedroom surf jams, disco shoegaze, and tons more. Check out my list and come back next week to immerse yourself in 2010 nostalgia.
