Stumbling around the Internet can yield some uncanny discoveries, such as this MySpace.com page dedicated to the great French Romantic composer of the Symphonie fantastique and La Damnation de Faust, Hector Berlioz (1803-1869). Interestingly, Hector has 650 friends (some obviously not associated with him in real life, but you have to envy his improbable luck with those 19th century courtesans), and his page features a lot of biographical information, photos, and videos of orchestral performances. Is this evidence of life after death? Perhaps, but many listeners have already decided that Berlioz lives on in his music. C'est formidable!
