We're back with two exclusive pre-release album streams this week! First up, the self-titled debut EP by indie electronic artist White Prism.
The project of Australian born, New York based artist Johanna Cranitch, White Prism blends chic electro-pop beats with what
Time Out describes as "Kate Bush-inspired huskyisms". A grad of the Australian Institute of Music, Cranitch cut her teeth as an engineer at the prestigious Nola Recording Studios. During this time she also wrote and recorded hundreds of demos, culminating in her first album with her former outfit, Johanna and the Dusty Floor. This set the stage for her hazy, ethereal electro explorations, and with White Prism she conjures an eerie dreaminess beckoning the listener to come closer.
RIYL: Toro y Moi's sleek synth layers; Bat for Lashes' after-dark artfulness; iamamiwhoami's enigmatic atmosphere.
Sorry, this exclusive stream has expired. Stay tuned for more upcoming albums streams on AllMusic!
