Album Premiere: Tokyo Police Club, 'TPC'

On the heels of 2014's Forcefield and a pair of EPs in 2016, Tokyo Police Club returns with TPC, a guitar-driven, uptempo jaunt through a dozen tracks that blend an enthusiasm for melody with a sense of drama that brings to mind Billy Corgan's better moments. A song like "Unseen" finds its strength in the way it builds, completely falls away, and then closes with a final burst, while songs like "Simple Dude" and "Can't Stay Here" effectively maintain their headlong charges throughout. TPC is out on October 5, and the band has tour dates booked through March 2019.
