Album Premiere: Megan Slankard's Eclectic 'Running on Machinery'

​On her fifth record, San Francisco-based musician Megan Slankard her band deliver full-on rockers, tender ballads, and nod to electronica and folk music. Thematically, Slankard describes the record as "a healthy mix of stories about the end of the world, bank robberies, prison escapes, failed relationships, and other adventures.” The record is out on May 19, but you can check the whole thing out via the stream below.
