Album Premiere: Avi Vinocur, 'No Cause For Alarm'

Goodnight, Texas frontman Avi Vinocur goes (gently) electric with No Cause For Alarm, a minimalist solo record built around just his guitar and vocals. His twangy, reverb-drenched guitar is given equal footing alongside his echoed voice, as he sings about regrets, wonders about former flames and narrates a hurried drive down to Texas. For good measure, he also puts a unique spin on Metallica's classic "For Whom the Bell Tolls," rendering the stomping metal tune nearly unrecognizable beyond the lyrics. No Cause For Alarm is due out July 28 on Tallest Man Records.
