With its genesis dating back to 1961, England’s Reading Festival is the longest-running annual music festival still going, expanding in 1999 to include a second branch in Leeds to help quell growing demand. Enormous to the point of being instantly overwhelming, this year’s 52nsd installment of the festival will stretch literally hundreds of bands, djs, comedians, speakers and other various artists over eight stages and just three days at the end of August. Highlights are too numerous to list, but among the biggest draws will be headlining sets from Green Day, Eminem, System of A Down, Biffy Clyro, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Fall Out Boy and many, many, many more.
