Uruguayan five-piece rock band Zero started getting involved in the local scene in 1985, making its live debut at a local theater. Formed by singer Leonardo García, guitarist Daniel Machado, and drummer Edgardo Regueira, the band was later joined by keyboardist Eduardo Gómez. In 1986, Martiniano Olivera and Alejandro Gerolmini became Zero's keyboardist and drummer, respectively. The band's first record, called Visitantes, was released in 1988. A special edition of that same album was issued in 1996, featuring an extra track called "No Cambies."
