Hailing from Charleston, SC, Wormbelly came together in 1997 with childhood friends Chris Patterson and Kevin Graham. Within months, visual artist/pianist GoGo joined Wormbelly. Now a trio, Wormbelly crafted their country-rock inspired sound. In 1998, the band independently released Demolition Superprize and it went on to be a local hit. Drummer KC Hazelwood and bass player Todd Few had been added to the musical fray. The expanded line-up allowed Wormbelly to go for a larger soundscape, which would prove golden for their 2002 release, The Guf.
