Not to be confused with the pretty-boy "Cherry Pie" Warrant of the late '80s/early '90s, there was another band that went by the same name in the mid-'80s. Comprised of members Jörg Juraschek (vocals, bass), Thomas Klein (guitars), Oliver May (guitars), and Lothar Wieners (drums), the metal quartet hailed from Germany, and were often compared to such fellow-German rockers as Accept and Running Wild. Warrant issued a pair of albums around this time, First Strike and The Enforcer, before splitting up. In 2000, both albums were reissued as a two-for-one CD, adding a pair of previously unreleased bonus tracks as well.
