Artist Biography by

The New England jazz supergroup the Whaling City Sound Superband consists of members Stan Belmarce (guitar), Rusty Russo (drums), Danny Schwartz (percussion), and Bill Miele (bass) -- all of which were part of the outfit Bobby Greene and Coleus in the late '80s -- plus John Harrison (piano), Dino Govoni (tenor and soprano sax), and Orlando Pandolfi (vibes). The band doesn't play live often, but one rare concert was documented with the release A Killer Whale in April of 2001. In fact, the show turned out to be the first time that the Whaling City Sound Superband played through their songs completely together.
