The Restoration Worship Center Choir from Rocky Mount, North Carolina is a modern gospel choir founded, fronted, and directed by International Gospel Music Hall of Fame member, Rev. Luther Barnes, and his brother Pastor Melvin Barnes. Luther was the frontman for the hitmaking Sunset Jubilaires quartet, and founder/director of the award-winning Red Budd Gospel Choir. In creating the RWCC, Pastor Barnes recruited some of the latter group's singers and musicians and designed an approach that wed the sound of the gospel quartet to that of the gospel choir. It took two years for him to audition, assemble, and fully rehearse this group by performing Sunday after Sunday and at regional festivals and churches.
